The City of Maintal
The quality of life in the heart of Rhein-Main Maintal. Around 38,000 residents.
A town between the Main, fruit meadows, forests and fields. The four districts of Maintal, Dörnigheim, Bischofsheim, Hochstadt and Wachenbuchen lie in a green belt, nestling amongst extensive recreation areas, and yet in the centre of the Rhein-Main region.
Historically developed, atmospheric old towns and modern infrastructure form a unique combination here in Maintal. Located immediately next to the motorway, airport and the exhibition centre of Frankfurt, one finds here a successful symbiosis of rural charm and city life.
The lively Dörnigheim, the bustling Bischofsheim, Hochstadt with its idyllic half-timbered houses and Wachenbuchen surrounded by nature - each district of Maintal has its own very individual character.
Perhaps this is the main reason why the people here feel particularly attached to "their" town, and are proud of the quality of life to be found in Maintal.
In Maintall urban structures blend together with those of nature. The traffic connections by motorway or rail in all directions are excellent, and the "gateway to the world" - the Frankfurt/ Rhein-Main airport - is also close at hand. Nevertheless, it only takes a few minutes on foot or by bicycle to be amongst unspoilt nature, the largest fruit meadows of Hessen, with their blossoming apple and pear trees, the forest or the green watermeadows Main.
